Al and Cal Homes and Community: Man’s Best Friend Grieves at Navy Seal Funeral

Man’s Best Friend Grieves at Navy Seal Funeral

I cried after reading this article that Bob Gilbert provides us with.   There is nothing else to say but thanks to the men and women that give up their freedom so that we can enjoy ours.   Thanks Bob for bringing this to our attention.

American Military Cemetry Fort Sam Houston San Antonio Texas

The link I am providing is a story of a Navy Seal who recently died after a Taliban supporter In Afghanistan shot down a Chinook helicopter with a rocket-propelled grenade back on August 6, 2011. There were 30 American troops on board that helicopter and among those 20 were Navy Seals. What a horrible shame. I read this story and it made me shed a tear. I think all of us should take the time to read this story. We also need to remember there are American troops all over the world fighting every day to keep this great country free. The rest of us should take the time to thank those folks and say prayers for those like Petty Officer Tumilson and their families who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Hawkeye the dog stayed with his owner until the end! Here is the link to the full story on MSNBC.

Al and Crol,

I just saw this on the internet. How sad for all involved and seeing the dog waiting for his master was one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I hope someone takes good care of the dog because he will be hurting for some time.

Carol Ann,

Thank you for the re-blog. This is such a tragic event and thi is only one of 30 Americans who died in that attack.
