What's a Fly-In?

"A fly-in is a pre-arranged gathering of aircraft, pilots and passengers for recreational and social purposes"..

but this Saturday, at Mansfield Airport it's not just for pilots and airplanes.  There will be more to do and see!

What to expect?

Displays of Airplanes, gliders, and helicopters as well as antique cars.   There will be crafts and games for kids.

Come hungry there is food too.    Not only that, but a 50's DJ will be spinning his tunes.

Free admission and plenty of free parking.

This is a great fall fun event for the entire family.   What kid young or old isn't fascinated with airplanes and airports?

Mansfield Airport (1B9)  is located at 265 Fruit Street, Mansfield MA.

Did you ever think you might like to learn to fly?

King Avaiation at Mansfield is the ticket.   Great instruction, nice planes and a friendly atmosphere will help you reach your goal.   See Kelley Dinneen for more info.

Hi Cal,

Your Fly-In event would be a huge hit here and we have something similar in later October but they charge a fee to get in. I would go if I lived in your area. I love to see all the planes both on the ground and in the air. Have fun if get to attend and certainly take lots of pictures.

Hi Carol Ann, I was at a fly-in on Reading PA some time back and they had a fly-in. And then a C-147 cargo plane dropped in. They can land that huge plane on a strip just slightly larger than a football field. Hope all have fun
